It was sad to hear Neil Armstrong passed away today. I was only 4 when he landed on the moon, and I grew up in a age of moonlandings and spacemen.

I only hope our future children dont grow up in a age where no one alive has walked on another world.

The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now.

Hi Glenn,
Looks you have moved, or you take well deserved break from hard yakka of relocation.

Remember watching their epic effort all those years ago.

Much later saw the documentary, with detailed list of things that all went right, including limited fuel reserves with one chance to fire the engine to go back, with just fuel enough fuel to get back to Moon orbiting spacecraft.

And now at 82 bypass surgery complications took him forever.

Really sad day and as you say, very limited funds to send somebody somewhere soon.

"Seems like only yesterday I watched a man name Armstrong walk upon the moon' Reg Lindseys song comes to mind. One of the few days I remember from school, certainly a big day for our generation. Limited funds but also with our technology we do not have to send human explorers out there, UAV`s on earth and rovers up there.
We come from the land downunder.
