Hello there
Ten years ago made this toy. The 1" x .25" flat that holds the blades together is Original Mc Booth (a new zealand Manufacturer fron fifty years ago or so) The ss blades are their exact design. Main bearing housing a bit of three inch ss pipe bored to take 80mm od taper rollers and seals. The crank is a piece of 50 od ss with an adjustable crank (a corolla front wheel hub and stub). The stroke would be about 25mm.With a large bore you can have a short stroke and eliminate the gearing in the head. The conrod at the top goes up, down as well as sideways. Turning mechanisim is a 80mm or so size pivot running in oil. Tower homemade about 6m. The bore of the pump is a pice of 4" ss tube. Can be turned upside down to get another life out of it. Piston is number plate, coke can and bell housing grade ali with 3 7/8 x 3/16 orings. The no return valves are stainless 12mm stem with 1.5" orings running in a piece of 1/2" alkathene.Alkathene is black flexi pipe that farmers use to plumb up a farm. The conrod betwee pump and head is 1.25"ss tube at the bottom end running inside 2" ss tube. This tube is a bit short so added a bit of 2" alkathene on the top

to extend it. The inlet of the pump goes continually down to the well (2m next to it) with a foot valve at the end of it. The water table here is 1m down in winter and has dropped to eight in a summer. The pump is about 1m below ground so that it has to suck less. Because the 2" outer ss stube and alkathene is higher than the tank it does not need a seal on the conrod. The little tap is to fill the system up the first time. Hope you can understand all this drivel. Recently the mill stopped working and during the autopsie realised that the top no retun was sticking.
