whilst taking out garden waste I noticed a solar panel close to the now closed tip shop/shed and since the council worker was pushing the tip face with the loader I deseeded I better grab the panel on my way out since your not allowed to buy anything there now.when I got it home and did a voltage and short circuit amps test which it failed with no current at all but still had 20 volts though so I checked to see it I could find the bad cell{s} which I did.after testing and cutting out the crook cell I joined the other cells with a jumper lead which gave me back most of its rated power back with 19.5 open volts and 1.75 short circuit amps.it sure put a smile on my dial and its in service right now keeping my spare batteries topped up mated to a motorcycle voltage regulator.yeah I know I loose some watts through it as its recterfied since on a bike itd be getting ac off the alternator but its what ive got.as for the panel well I soldered a jumper link between the good cells and filled everything with silicone to keep the water out.not a bad score for the poor people doing solar on a budget,it also came with a nice angled galvo mounting bracket as well
