This is a big debate, but I see most states in Australia have adopted the net rate, which means less money for small energy providers such as solar grid. Net being amount of money given to you after your usage. Anyway we are in Victoria which has adopted the NET model but was reading yesterday that AGL power was offering the Gross rate to customers with them, who have solar grid intalled. I am not sure if that was in every state though. I looked on their website and found a PDF file which seemed to confirm this. Would anyone know if this is right and what rate they get for their feed in ? Sounds great if correct and worth switching to if their deal is confirmed. I can send a link to the pdf file if anyone wants it. cheers michael |

I have had ongoing talks for months with AGL re feed in tarrif. I would not bother with them now, unless they change significantly. They only pay the govt 44c/kWhr. For me this was $100-$300 less per quarter. Even on gross export, still not as good as switching to another provider, eg TRUenergy pays 64c/kWhr. Gordon. become more energy aware |

thanks Gordon, I am with Origin, but dont know what their feed in rate is yet. I guess you need to do the sums. I am installing 1kw so if anyone has any idea where I would get the best rate I would appreciate it. We use about 12kw a day. michael |

Hi Everyone, I did make this posting in another thread, but will copy it here. A partition has been written for a uniform gross feed in tarif for all renewable electricity. http://www.feedintariff.com.au/ Read it and sign the partition if you agree Edit direct link http://www.feedintariff.com.au/ Trev @ drivebynature.com |

Trev, I think you mean a 'petition'. A "partition" is something dividing an area in an office Klaus |
