i have purchased 2 x 12v 100AH lithium batteries maybe should have asked here before i bought them... I asked the seller if they can be put in series to make 24v he said no so i asked if i can use a lithium balancer, he said the manufacture does not recommend them. but did not outright say no. so my question is... if the batteries each have a inbuilt 50 amp BMS and have over charge protection (also temperature and discharge protection) and i can set my inverters charge voltage to 29.2V and i can limit the output current to 20amps put on a battery balancer (HA01) Would this work? as i`m limiting the charge voltage to 29.2v and current to 20 amps. Most often they are not made to be run in series or parallel, they can work ok for some time (not always the case) if the charge current is low enough that the internal BMS can keep up, as you plan on 20amp orso that might help. As for A grade, don't count on it, Have a look at some battery tear downs on the forum https://diysolarforum.com/ Somewhere It would be better to take the top off the battery and put your own 24v BMS, even more so if it was for 48v system, I got crap for suggesting this before. The danger zone would be the low voltage cutoff from a low cell and then you could have full battery voltage at the mosfet that switched off, the mosfets on these BMS may not be rated for the higher voltage several batteries in series. Honestly there should be one BMS taking care of the entire battery "one cook in the kitchen" Those batteries look cheap enough to experiment with. Cheers Aaron Off The Grid |

Had another look at the Sellers site, I could not see if the BMS could give a live readout of cell voltage, would be helpful if it did, for this situation. See how you go with it anyway. Cheers Aaron Off The Grid |

I cant see any Bluetooth adaptor with that BMS, and therefor it cant send cell voltage and information to your phone. Perhaps someone knows of a better option. Also, are the battery lids clipped on, glued or plastic welded? If they are plastic welded it might be easier to go with the previous idea for a while to see how it works. Cheers Aaron Off The Grid |

Ok, That one will probably work, put it on the list of possible choices...........I had the 48v version it also had a light bar to show capacity, bit useless but it did have a little push button to wake up the BMS, used it sometimes. Other things with DALY, recently they had a real stuff up with there firmware and everyone that had automatic updates had to put up with crap until it gets fixed. Since I had the Automatic rubbish turned off I was unaffected by the Daly update.
