 I will be using some of these make sky blue because they're cheap I got them for under $100 mppt 60 amps 48 V if I remember correctly there good for 2600 Watts maybe 2800 I am hoping I'm going to need three of them I'm hoping to fit just as much solar as I possibly can 40 foot coach may have to do an awning that folds up from the side be warned i am good parrot but Dumber than a box of rocks |

Did this only once, so I am no expert. I also used the small size panel which I can carry up to my house roof. The solar panel manufacturer has installation manual for download which I used only as a guide. I also used the same brand charge controller you bought. Here are may connection diagrams. Not sure if they will be useful. Amber - how far do you want to have your solar setup from your home? If more than a few hundred feet, it might make sense to install a DC -> AC convertor near the panels and run 100v+ ac through the power lines that terminate at your home. Then you can use the Warpspeed inverter to load-share between grid, battery and solar |

I have been using (2) of the MAKE SKY BLUE charge controllers on a 24v system for over a year and a half. I like the units , they work well with my panels. I have 1500 watts of panels and plan on expanding to 2000 this spring. It just runs my window air conditioner and a small electric oil heater in my shop , where I am most of the time after I retired. Can't be beat for the money. Jack |

Gadgetjack thanks for commenting what kind of batteries do you charge with these charge controllers retirement is good but it's hard to get used to a person has got to stay busy at something just to keep your sanity what you don't use you lose I'm not all the way retired yet but it's been very hard on me this form has been a lifesaver it got me started on a new way of life got me using my brain to learn new things and a lot of wonderful people on here to help along the way be warned i am good parrot but Dumber than a box of rocks |

   I charge a set of golf cart batteries and a backup set of deep cycle batteries that are 260 amps total. I attached pictures of the whole setup. I am always busy , little slower in the winter , but still always working. Always have new projects and repairs for friends. I built the inverter in the picture with the help of this great group of people on this board. There is a lot of smart people on this board. Glad to see new people coming in every day. Enjoy the day! |
