I am looking at the possibility of supplying New 50 Ah lithium polymer LiFePO4 3.2 V cells to the Australian market . They would be available in 2 months for $3 per Ah plus postage or transport by road only . Any interest just post here and I will pick you up here. <3 milliOhm resistance >3000 cycles 2C max Discharge Voltage range: 2.6-3.6V case alloy 1.450 Kilo Not on ebay yet but I can put them there no prob. 4 cells in series = 12.8V nominal /50 amp hours 6 Kilos $ 600 16 cells in series = 51.2V nominal /50 Amp hours 24 Kilos $2400 see wiki here The LiFePO4 battery uses a lithium-ion-derived chemistry and shares many advantages and disadvantages with other lithium-ion battery chemistries. However, there are significant differences. LFP chemistry offers a longer cycle life than other lithium-ion approaches. Like nickel-based rechargeable batteries (and unlike other lithium ion batteries),LiFePO4 batteries have a very constant discharge voltage. Voltage stays close to 3.2 V during discharge until the cell is exhausted. This allows the cell to deliver virtually full power until it is discharged. And it can greatly simplify or even eliminate the need for voltage regulation circuitry. |
