hi I have camper trailer 12 volt battery set up purchased a 30 amp 12-24 volt mppt charger on ebay it says that it is 12 or 24 automaticly goes to 12 or 24
but I discovered the pannel ive got is putting out 40 volts laying flat would this damage the mppt it is connected and it is charging it runs a 10 watt led flood light every night for 6 hours
I would have sent photo of regulator but dont know how put on

Hi John,

The specs on the e-bay listing should have told you what the max voltage is that your MPPT unit can handle at the input. If not, look at the specs that came with the unit.
If they show a voltage greater than 40V then no problem. It looks like you are using a 24V solar panel, 12V panels usually have around 22V with nothing connected to the terminals.
John, you need to give much more detail with your question if you expect meaningful answers - we cannot see what you got in front of you unless you post a web address where it is shown or attach pictures.

Picture attaching is easy, on top of your message posting form are a row of 'boxes', click the second last one for pictures. You must reduce your picture to a suitable size - it will tell you if its too big. Also have patience, it takes a little time to upload it.
Also, hover your mouse arrow over the other 'boxes' and a little pop up message tells you what they do.
