Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Unlikely but here goes. I got a Sofar 5000TLM inverter. When all hooked up she won't power on/blank screen. Voltmeter shows the voltage being drawn when connected is about 3vdc, that's from the roughly 180vdc coming in from panels. It was a demo box (used for training purposes) so hasn't actually been used in the normal sense. Anyway, something is obviously dead inside that stops it from booting up. Any ideas?

Any evidence of damage or bulging caps on control boards?
Unfortunately you'd need to roughly trace the power board to see where the supply is drawn for powering the control circuit to determine any faults there.

Thanks, makes sense. Nothing obvious damage wise. I'll pop it open again and have a better look.
